Monologue Workshop For Actors

The San Antonio Theatre Coalition (SATCO) hosts a one-day workshop for actors,
“Mental Preparation and Memorization Tips for Monologues”.

The Rose Theatre Co.

11838 Wurzbach Rd. at Lockhill Selma

San Antonio, TX 78230

“Mental Preparation and Memorization Tips for Monologues” is the latest in SATCO’s series of interactive workshops for actors of all levels of experience. In this workshop, attendees will learn essential skills for memorizing and performing monologues on stage. All actors must come in with a one-minute monologue prepared, and will receive a second piece to memorize and perform before the class.

Panelists will include Allan S. Ross (The Classic Theatre of San Antonio), Jessie Rose (The Rose Theatre Co.), and actress Martha Prentiss.

“Memorizing dialogue is one of the most important skills an actor needs,” says Nikki Young, SATCO Board Member and Workshop Coordinator. “And with TheatreASAP almost around the corner, it’s a great opportunity for San Antonio actors to prepare for the challenge of learning a lot of dialogue in a very short time, which is something they’ll be able to use long after TheatreASAP.”

$15 for SATCO members; $25 for non-members
Special Workshop + SATCO Membership package: Only $40
